crantzHi! I'm Rosencrantz on Ao3 and I'm grateful you want to read my letter! A big thing about AUex is sometimes the entire prompt is the AU tag so I don't often have much to add, I'm sorry, but here's some further notes about what I like.
DNW: Underage (sexual under 18/under 18, anything under 18/over 18), non/dubcon, and unhappy endings.
Likes: Casefic, adventure, humour, worldbuilding, exploring an idea.
Fandom specific notes about Marvel: I'm not what you would call 'caught up' on Marvel comics right now, so I probably won't know anything from the most recent (7 or so years EXCEPT the Zdarsky/Quinones and North/Henderson/Charm runs of Howard and Squirrel Girl) canon. Feel to use the platonic ideal of the characters/setting for the fic. Use the recent canon too if you want, I'll be fine!

Solo: Howard The Duck (616)
Howard The Duck/Rocket Raccoon (616)
The tags are pretty self explanatory as prompts, Howard is there solo if you don't want to write duck/raccoon romance because I'm good either way. There's one tag that involves Rocket specifically as well as Howard but if you want to just have that as a explanation of where Rocket is in this scenario 'and somewhere there's a raccoon solving crime', that is fine.

So in the original Squirrel Girl appearance, Iron Man tells her to ask Captain America to be his sidekick or join the X-Men, both things have Doreen go 'god no' and insist Iron Man is her favourite. So I propose to you: What if Iron Man HAD let her be a sidekick, especially with her compelling argument that the location meant she could still be home in time for dinner. Please be kind to young teen Doreen.
We know about Chipmunk Hunk and Koi Boi, but what if animal rhyme Nancy too? How would things have shaken out? What shenanigans?
The Bass Lass one is self explanatory.

So as you can see I was intrigued by The End having Gambit as Sinister's clone of him and Cyclops to escape Apocalypse. I just think that would be interesting put at any point in the X-Men canon for a story! I would like that! Especially if it's combined with any of the other AUs I've suggested. Is Sinister always a bad guy in these AUs? Is he grey? Is he evil as hell? Go wild.
I would absolutely be chuffed with a comedy fic.

The genderswaps are there for funsies. I would happily read a genderswap fic about these two. One or both!
So what if it was Gambit in Rogue's head and his powers? How would things have shaken out? Could they talk to eachother? Would they still be interested in eachother?
What if Rogue was the streetwise thief (and possibly married off to Bella or her brother and on the run) and Gambit was being trained as a mutant terrorist? How would they feel about their respective 'mentors'?
What about Rogue in a leadership position? Would she have been Xavier's first student? Would she have been guided into it after being met by Xavier to be helped? How would that change how things play out?
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation

Warrick Brown/Gil Grissom (CSI)
I would like to see Hercule Poirot or Miss Marple get involved in a CSI case. Would they be consultants? Would they be older officers? Would they be someone's old mentor or aunt?

Recalling Ariadne Oliver's frustration in-canon with her character as well as Agatha Christie's own comments about Hercule + the fact that there's now a series of Agatha Christie mysteries out there in the world with her as the protag, I wonder what it would be like were he the author of her shenanigans.
