I messed up big time. Instead of movies, I started watching shows with my bff Elly. Next thing you know we're watching more shows. Whole series together.

I tried watching two new to me mysteries tonight and they were *so suited to her tastes* I had to stop the episodes and decide we would watch them together at a later date.

This is why I don't add sugar or milk to my coffee! I'm too afraid I won't be able to drink it again if I don't have the added ingredients on hand!

I feel that! I’ve yet to finish more than a few shows because I watch them with people I don’t see as often. A tragedy and a joy!

Side note: I would love mystery recs. My partner and I recently finished the new season of Only Murders In The Building, which I wholeheartedly recommend. Jane Lynch is a force to be reckoned with!

Right? She got me started on watching Death in Paradise with her which is like, eight billion seasons and we're on s2 right now.

Hmmmm. I haven't actually seen Only Murders in the Building but I do know that it's a consistent plot over one season instead of episodic, which is what I tend to watch. However, if you like episodic mysteries I've got plenty I can recommend! What is it about Murders in the Building you like best? That'll help me go through the ones I watch.

I got lucky - she was willing to watch two of them with me tonight so now we've officially started Death Valley (WELSH ACCENTS GALORE) and Queens of Murder (three meddling mystery aunts!)

I get that. If I have to write things like 'I tried to return something to the library but I bought Rock Sugar instead and now I'm back home with the DVD' on the regular, it's because once I added milk and sugar to my tea and now I don't care to have it without.

My gf is named Nani and my bff Elly is actually named something with almost identical letters and size and Ann watched a movie w/me and Nani and was so charmed by this going 'aw, she's your soy sauce!' and I had to clarify no, I meant Elly.

Anyway that mix up continued throughout the evening. It doesn't help they're both Texans, I met them in the same place, and they both played my character's boyfriends in the rp game we met in where Ann also met them.

I must return to my dry sushi.

Having meditated on this for a bit, it sounds like a good time was had and I learned there's a soy sauce called Nani.

Really? I didn't know there was a soy sauce called that! Neat!

Oh yeah I googled it wait it is a Hawaian BBQSauce that merely contains soy! But if that wasn't the missing link that held your comment together then I'm back to not understanding it.

I was saying that as I do not use soy sauce on my sushi because it would make the sushi inedible to me if I could not find soy sauce later, I had suddenly become unable to watch mystery shows without Elly. Ann, mistaking Elly for Nani, said Nani was my soy sauce and that was sweet.

Oh thank you, now it makes sense! I was struggling to figure out how all of this relates to the milk and sugar policy and now I get it!
