Hello, trick or treater! I am excited about this exchange and I hope you are too. I have compiled a letter to help you along and give you an idea of the sorts of things I enjoy. I thankfully have very do not wants, so your story even if it isn't anything else in my letter has a high chance of pleasing me greatly.

Also, it's a gift and I love gifts.

Let's rock and roll.

My DO NOT WANT: Suicide, sex crimes, underage sex of any sort, secretly crazy

What I love in horror: Ghosts, sudden realizations, omg all along

What I love in cuteness: Friendships, teamships, cuddles, adorable antics

-All Creatures Great and Small - James Herriot

James Herriot

Tristan Farnon

Siegfried Farnon

Tricky Woo

Fanfiction

I love All Creatures Great and Small! Ever since I was a kid. But what made me suggest it for this is because it has equal parts ability to be horrifying as well as endearing.

We've all heard stories of ghost pets, right? Cats long gone seem glimpsed going around corners. A Beasts of Burden comic featured a flock of sheep that had long ago burned to death that hid their nature until the very end.

On the other hand, what about all the times James is just so happy to be around animals! His close friendship with the Farnons! Being Uncle James to Tricky Woo!

Tristan's pranks on James have a good chance of going either way, too. Or James' attempted retaliations. Or Siegfried's strange flights of fancy.

Anyway, I hope if this one is to your liking, I've offered you some good ideas!

-Anne of Green Gables - L. M. Montgomery

Anne Shirley

Marilla Cuthbert

Rachel Lynde

Fanfiction

Like I said in my sign up, I have not read anything but the first book which I adore. So if you're worried about canon catch up or remembering everything that happens, just know this is all I've got. If you want to use stuff from later books, please include exposition!

Anne is wonderful. Her vivid imagination. The way everything is magical to her. How passionate she is. How once she and her best friend got each other so worked up with ghost stories they were too scared to go down a laneway.

If you could give me a slightly off-canon where Marilla straight up says she loves her adopted daughter, that would also be amazing? I spent most of the book going 'JUST TELL HER. TELL HER YOU LOVE HER.'

PEI being an island has a lot of ghost ship lore, I bet.

-Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon | Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon

Tsukino Usagi | Sailor Moon

Hino Rei | Sailor Mars

Mizuno Ami | Sailor Mercury

Kino Makoto | Sailor Jupiter

Meiou Setsuna | Sailor Pluto

Kaiou Michiru | Sailor Neptune

Tenoh Haruka | Sailor Uranus

Aino Minako | Sailor Venus

Tomoe Hotaru | Sailor Saturn

Fanfiction

I just hit all the sailors because I love all the sailors. I meant the comics when I nominated, but I know and love all the canons. Use any sailor you want!

Key sailors of interest: Rei's supernatural powers, Sailor Pluto's association with the dead, and Sailor Saturn's ability to end the entire world.

-Mass Effect

Male Shepard (Mass Effect)

Garrus Vakarian

Ashley Williams

Kasumi Goto

Kaidan Alenko

Fanfiction

Now, I'm going to tell you about my save file, to see if that changes what you want to write about. Under no circumstances am I expecting you to write me something based off my personal Shepard. I'm just letting you know.

This is my guy:

http://www.stories.thefannish.org/trickortreat/dearauthor/shepard.jpg

He's from Earth (the orphan in a gang scenario the game gives you), he's a war hero, and I play him as a total paragon. He romanced Ashley and left Kaidan to die.

Okay, about the game. What I like about Garrus and Shepard in Mass Effect is that at some point you find out he's younger than you and you're kind of mentoring him. Then of course it all goes to hell in ME2.

I love team stuff. I love Kasumi. I love when ME gets silly. I love when Ashley quotes poetry. I love when Ashley stops being space racist for a few seconds.

For scary stuff, derelict haunted ships? The ghost of whichever teammate you leave to die? I like ghosts. There's canon zombies in this game! There's a lot of scary stuff in this game. There's that doctor who was growing extra organs in guys and stealing them. That was messed up.

Anyway, there's some ideas! Remember what I said about not being attached to the idea of it being *my* Shepard, I just thought it might be of interest to a potential author if they like that sort of thing.

-Phantom Passenger That Wants A Ride Home (Urban Legend)

Girl's Mother (Phantom Passenger That Wants A Ride Home)

Driver (Phantom Passenger That Wants A Ride Home)

Dead Girl (Phantom Passenger That Wants A Ride Home)

Fanfiction

Oh I love this urban legend. I will retell it here.

I will do the driver as a woman in this story, even though she is usually a man because I like writing about ladies.

One rainy night, a driver was heading home when she saw a teenage girl hitch-hiking by the side of the road.

Because it was raining so heavily and because she didn't think it was safe for a teenage girl to be out there in the first place, she pulled over and said 'get in, I can take you into town.'

The girl got into the backseat and said: 'I live just outside of town' and gave her address. The driver agreed to take her there.

As they drove, the driver kept glancing back at the girl through the rearview mirror. The teenage girl kept her head down and said nothing, no matter how the driver tried to start conversation. Eventually the driver gave up on talking.

When they got to the address the teenage girl had given the driver, the driver pulled into the driveway and glanced back.

"We're here," she started to say before she realized her backseat was totally empty. She got out and looked around but there was no sign of the girl. Worried, she went to the front door of the house and rang the doorbell.

An old woman answered.

"Ma'am," said the driver, "I was driving a girl here but she's gone missing. Did she come in when I wasn't looking?"

The old woman looked at her sad. "That's my daughter. She was hit by a car when she was hitch-hiking home fifteen years ago and every year on that night she tries to come home to us. I'm sorry, but she didn't make it again."

The driver quickly made some excuses and left as fast as she could.

The only sign the teenage girl had ever been there was a wet spot on her backseat.

Sweet ideas; Reunion, saving the ghost
