Dec. 20th, 2010 08:51 pmI've been reading a comic lately (I bought the first one after seeing it on the recommendation on Unshelved, the second was given to me as Christmas present by a friend) called Neko Ramen, and it is excellent.
It is about a cat that runs a ramen shop. He's not like Mickey Mouse or anything, he's just a cat stone cold wearing an apron and trying to make it as a ramen chef. He was raised to be a kitten model like his father, but fled out into the world to make his own way. His name is Taisho. He has one regular customer, by the name of Tanaka. You see both of them in the sample strip below:
Remember to read right to left!

There's more to look at over here, on the TokyoPop website.
It's a fun comic! Very silly, and I love how Taisho seems to have no real clue he's just a cat, as well as being possible to discourage. The volumes are nicely designed too, if you care about having a good looking book on your shelf.
