Happy winter
Dec. 11th, 2024 12:57 pmIt was 57/13 degrees in my room this morning. My HAIR felt cold.
I passed my art class. My professor's notes were always 'great vision, excellent [so for the past ten minutes I've been trying to remember the word that means how you completed and assembled something and I think it starts with a C and it's just Not Coming so bear with me], very creative, very well thought out, perfect balance, I love it' and then giving me nothing higher than an 86 except one 89. I thought it was just me but he did it to all the other classmates he praised a lot too.
Oh well, at least I definitely passed.
I miss having mail, our post office has been on strike for weeks now because the higher ups at Canada Post refuse the union's very reasonable demands like 'pay the staff' 'don't fire everyone and rehire them as part time' and 'continue delivering to rural areas'

Date: 2024-12-12 11:00 pm (UTC)I had a teacher in high school who assigned us to do advertising posters for anything. We did. When she handed them back, she spent ages berating us because she had spent SO MUCH TIME teaching us about lettering, why was our lettering so poor? We spent ages trying to explain to her that she had never, not once, taught us anything about lettering or even mentioned the subject. Because she hadn't. She sort of shut up and didn't mention it again. We found out the next year that she had died of an enormous brain tumor, so she at least had a reason.

Date: 2024-12-13 04:57 am (UTC)I loved ceramics.
Back in high school the art teacher wouldn't accept any drawing that didn't have a background.
