crantz: Anne Shirley looking wistful out a window. (anne of green gables wistful)

I had this great plan when the temperatures were hitting +9 and stuff that I was gonna spend some time outside in my backyard getting some of that sweet vitamin d! What has happened ever since that day? Low temperatures! Rain! Snow! Sleet! It was -17 when I woke up this morning!

But I will not give up. One day soon I will go out there and go 'wait, I hate the outdoors. The curs'd sun! Begone!'

Three fun facts about me:

1) I have exploding head syndrome https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exploding_head_syndrome
2) The roads near my house in the country were so bad during winter I got so used to spinning in a circle and sliding into the ditch almost every week no matter how slow I went that I got to the point where I'd sigh and go 'oh not again' and not even be afraid. I never got hurt and most of my time was spent assuring people that I didn't need help out, CAA was on its way. I considered making a paper sign that said that to put in the window!
3) I once won a colouring contest and someone in a bear costume came to my house and gave me a balloon when I was 3
4) BONUS FACT: when filling in the spreadsheet for the details about the pottery sherds I was analyzing, I had to fight whispering 'the laminations of their women' every time I wrote 'lamination' for the paste section. I don't think I won the fight even once

I'm having a lot of fun in Animal Crossing! I got a parka dress today! I've been posting my little avatar Kirke's 'looks' to twitter every two days because he is just the absolute cutest.

I haven't been playing WoW that much lately, BUT I had a great Guild Night with Tainry today! But I actually blanked on what a Gnoll was! They're the HYENA people, and I was like 'the ones with the candles?' but those are Kobolds. I'm forgetting important data the less I play. I need to fix this.

I watched Abominable (mostly sober) and Frozen 2 (totally sauced) the other night and I really liked Abominable. It had a lot of emotional beats that really worked for me and nice visuals. It had some parts I didn't care for, but I felt the rest of it made them easy to accept. Also there's a jerboa! I love jerboas.

I remember less of Frozen 2 (which is good for my mom who wanted me to watch it with her and I'm like OH FINE OKAY) except... a fire lizard? And a horsie? A water horsie? I'll be watching it again, sober. I'm not sure but I think at some point Kristof finds another reindeer talking guy and they... propose? I don't think that's right.

I've been listening to an episode of the Magnus Archives every meal and I'm approaching episode 100. The meta plot is really heating up! I actually don't know where it's going and unusual for me, I haven't looked it up ahead of time. I really like Gertrude's voice actress. I think Jon needs a nice cup of tea and a break. Some episodes are not conductive to enjoying the texture of my jarred (I hate the feel of peel on my nails) mandarin oranges though that I usually have for dessert.

I accidentally started an episode near the end (it had skipped from the episode that just ended before) and because the ipod faded in the sound of the podcast, I thought it was just a cold open and I didn't realize until I was checking the wiki for trivia and I was like 'good grief there was a whole hecking episode here, that wasn't a postscript!'

I mean not a super exciting story, but just letting you know that sometimes I've got to stop filling in the blanks for the world around me.

Okay, correct me if I'm wrong but from the Wikipedia description it sounds like EHS is a type of auditory hallucinations with some other sensory processing stuff. There's this group in the UK that is raising awareness on how common those are.
