Happy December or '10th month'
Dec. 6th, 2020 01:17 amHi, everyone. Ca va?
I've been doing lots of schoolwork which has probably built character or some foolish thing like that. Writing some final project papers right now which I'd be done by now if there wasn't this whole 'the sources you're citing must actually be written down, not psychically inferred' tyranny.
I did manage to get in one from a paper we read earlier this semester:
As it has been said, "Okay, archaeology is not easy" (Warren 2001:239) but it can provide a surprising amount of answers if used properly.
What else... I read some books. Actually read some books! Yay me! They were romances by KJ Charles and Cat Sebastian. I've also been reading old comic strips (Popeye, and now I'm onto Prince Valiant and Flash Gordon) that I got from the library. Actually, fun story, I emailed the library and told them how much I like their comicstrip collection and said I'd really like a chance to read Flash Gordon and Prince Valiant if they add that to the collection and they went and bought it! I was so chuffed. So that's where my major charity donation went this year.
I've been reading more newspaper strips in general. I've got subscriptions to Gocomics and Comicskingdom now to read dailies I like. I'm particularly enjoying the rebooted Mark Trail but it's awfully nice to read Sally Forth again. I missed it when we stopped getting the newspaper and now it's big enough to see the text AND in colour. Ooh la la!
I will conclude this post by noting that the two online games I play, World of Warcraft and Flight Rising have both had my friends join up so I've been enjoying a renaissance of my interest (which isn't to say Tainry wasn't my bestest guildmate ever in WoW!), especially in Flight Rising where I'm suddenly doing dragon projects again.
Cthulhu is back on the menu for 3 PM Central Sundays if anyone's interested in joining up, but waiting on me to finish these papers before I choose the module and start.
