Goodness gracious it's nearly April
Mar. 27th, 2020 05:07 amI usually look forward to April 1st, as the frivolity of fake products and gentle website changes brings me joy but I'm not really sure what's going to be up in the current *waves hand at everything* so I might just sleep that one out and read a summary later.
I've been playing a lot of Animal Crossing lately in-between doing my remote school stuff. I've caught four oarfish at the beach and that seems... wrong. Beautiful fish though, damn.
I'd offer to be Switch Friends with my AC-playing buddies but I don't have Nintendo Online! I cannot frolic in the villagers of others! I am island, all alone. I really don't like how Nintendo's switching previously free services to fees.
Most importantly, my island is named Dik-Dik Jaw after Moose Jaw. My previous villages have been Arkham and Summerisle. I'm feeling whimsical this time around.
Not sure what to do about my flower project - my very last drawing was supposed to be completed the day before they shut down the school where I was doing them. It feels weird to do it at home. But I will, nonetheless, because then it'll be done and I'll have filled an entire sketchbook and gained a new point to add to my stats, which is how it works. I think it's time to stop using charisma as a dump stat.
I often wonder what my father and I have in common beyond being turbonerds, and now that we've been forced to make our own fun for a while now it's become clear - we both like starting little projects and then abandoning them with a 'new number, who this?' the second we get the slightest bit distracted. The genetics are strong.
