1. Working on a t-shirt (with help) for my dad's birthday. He wants a physics joke. THIS CAN HAPPEN with the magic of zazzle.
2. SPEAKING OF PRINT ON DEMAND STUFF I was once struck by the idea that I would love to get something done on Lulu.com, but you may have noticed I don't finish much and what I do is copyrighted. So I came up with the idea of making a fake collection of short stories. Let me explain.
PREMISE
A short story anthology written by the world's greatest authors... who never existed until the collection. With each short story, the made up writer will have an elaborate biography at the start, listing their many and varied accomplishments.
---
I wanted to make it look all ~dramatic~. I already asked a few of my friends to contribute, because on top of everything else, it'd be a great keepsake to own a book with my friends work in it. Right now I'm forcing poor Hina to brainstorm story ideas, to help figure out what to write. I know for sure I want to try and do a pulp story and maybe a mystery, but it'd be cool if there was a romance in there, as well as a haiku. Just a haiku. I doubt I could do the haiku, but I bet I'd have fun writing the others!
My friend Jenny is also helping me out with it, in suggesting books I can read to get a better idea of typesetting and graphic design in general, to help design the book itself. You may have noticed from icons I make that text placement is one of my weakest skills, when it comes to making things and I'm eager to fix that up.
I'm not gonna really start worrying about this project until Christmas, when I hope to at least have a few stories ready for it. It's gonna be as cheap as I can make it on Lulu, since I have no urge to actually you know, try to sell it for a profit and I want people to be able to get their copies easily.
This'll come up again when I ask people to help edit the stories, because I am the world's worst editor. I owe someone a very nice apology that I never got around to betaing their story like I feared would happen. Also, I need to see if anyone else is interested in contributing a story to it, with the understanding that I am fickle, flittery, and it may never happen, and no one's making a cent. So a just for fun thing. (That's why this isn't a call for contributions, so much as a 'hey, if you want, feel free')
3. Project number 3 is trying to write a Superman script using the original comics and setting it in that time period. It's just for fun. Unfortunately, I was briefly thwarted when I tried to buy some screenwriting textbooks and they wouldn't accept my Canadian paypal account >:| But I have persevered. Oh, how I have persevered.
