Hello! I'm Rosencrantz and I'm so glad you're reading my letter for Yuletide! I have treats enabled!
Likes: Ghosts, adventure, mystery, casefic, really digging into stuff that could only happen in that specific canon.
DNW: Dubcon/noncon, underage (-18/-18 sexual, -18/+18 anything)
Opt-ins: epistolary, in-world documents, 1st person pov, poetry, interactive fiction, puzzles, gen to explicit
Murder She Wrote
My Little Pony Generation 1 (Cartoon 1984)
Hellboy Comics
X-Men: The Animated Series
Requests:
Murder She Wrote
Jessica Fletcher
Jessica Fletcher (Murder She Wrote)
DNW: Dubcon/noncon, underage (-18/-18 sexual, -18/+18 anything)
Opt-ins: epistolary, in-world documents, 1st person pov, poetry, interactive fiction, puzzles, gen to explicit
Fandom specific DNW: Evil Jessica
Sidenote: I ship Seth/Jessica, if you want to include that!
Prompts:
A ghost mystery? With a real or fake ghost!
Her writing career
POV shift (someone observing her from outside, a friend or an enemy for instance)
Something involving her teaching career to solve a problem
Genre shift - fantasy, recipes included mystery, romance, horror, thriller, sci-fi
True crime podcast about a case
Opt-in crossover ideas: X-Files to figure out the murder thing (either the weird frequency in Cabot Cove or just involving her), Star Trek doing an interactive Murder She Wrote on the holodeck, X-Men Jessica somehow having to solve an X-murder, BPRD Jessica getting involved with a murder involving Hellboy and Abe.
My Little Pony Generation 1 (Cartoon 1984)
Worldbuilding (My Little Pony Generation 1)
Masquerade (My Little Pony G1)
DNW: Dubcon/noncon, underage (-18/-18 sexual, -18/+18 anything)
Opt-ins: epistolary, in-world documents, 1st person pov, poetry, interactive fiction, puzzles
Fandom specific DNW: A dark take on the ponies (exception: Feel free to use the comics origin for how the twinkle eyes got their eyes) and nothing rated explicit for the ponies, please.
Sidenote: This is absolutely optional but Masquerade was one of the first toys I ever had as a child and I always thought they were a boy, even when I watched the cartoon. If you want to, you can use he/him for Masquerade but it's fine if you do not! But just putting it out there.
Prompts:
Ghosts!
Adventure!
Mystery!
Going into the real world?
Exploring a piece of the cartoon that you wanted to see more of
Masquerade's tendency to say 'no, never' until a more femme pony asks them and then Masquerade is like 'okay sure!' and immediately costumes up.
Hellboy (Comics)
Hellboy (Hellboy Comics)
Abe Sapien (Hellboy Comics)
DNW: Dubcon/noncon, underage (-18/-18 sexual, -18/+18 anything)
Opt-ins: epistolary, in-world documents, 1st person pov, poetry, interactive fiction, puzzles, gen to explicit
Fandom specific DNW: During or post-the Apocalypse storyline. Hellboy/Liz.
Sidenote: I like Abe/Hellboy but I also like Abe & Hellboy, so it's all good.
Ghosts!
Your favourite piece of folklore or urban legend
Something historical
A day off where nothing goes wrong
A day off where everything goes wrong
I liked how Hellboy had cats in the movie, but understand why it's a bad idea for him to have them in the comics. But maybe a story involving a cat in some way? A supernatural one?
An outsider's POV.
Hellboy finding out he's the true king of England well before/not involving the Apocalypse.
Opt-in crossover ideas: Jessica Fletcher getting involved in a murder involving the BPRD
X-Men: The Animated Series (Cartoon 1992)
Jubilation Lee (X-Men: The Animated Series)
NOTE: I have not seen anything of '97 and likely will not have a chance to until after Yuletide.
DNW: Dubcon/noncon, underage (-18/-18 sexual, -18/+18 anything)
Opt-ins: epistolary, in-world documents, 1st person pov, poetry, interactive fiction, puzzles, gen to explicit
Fandom specific DNW: Evil Xavier, explicit anything with Jubilee.
Sidenote: I love how Jubilee relates to the others. Like a daughter to Wolverine, like a little sister to Gambit, etc, so if you want to include strong interaction with other characters that focuses on bonding, that would be cool. I'm also okay with you introducing comic characters that were never in the cartoon into the story if you would like to animated universe them!
Prompts:
Ghosts
A secret in the Mansion
Big mission on her own (assigned or self-assigned)
Outside POV
Genre shift - fantasy, horror, mystery, romance
A missing piece of canon
Teaching another X-Man to play videogames
Finding fun uses for her powers
Internet adventures for mutants who have poor impulse control
Politics (hear me out) in a world where mutants and space aliens are real genuine issues. This is a more complex prompt but - I feel there would be 17 major parties at LEAST with wildly different priorities and I envision someone giving Jubilee a civics lesson because she is technically being educated at the school. I would prefer if you focus on unique to the universe issues and skim over the ones that are most relevant to the real world. Not forbidding mentioning them, just a focus on what is special about X-Men:TAS and its situation.
Jubilee gets a classmate (this is why I opted in to comic characters)
Opt-in crossovers: X-Files investigating mutants, Murder She Wrote Jessica somehow having to solve an X-murder
