Pretty colours

So my mail has been backed up for the past few months 'for some reason' but yesterday there was a flood of four packages!

1: a mask that didn't fit me (but fits mom AND looks good, I re-ordered a new mask of a larger size because it DOES look good) and revealed one of my ears has a freckle (check my evil double for the freckle to find the real one!)

2: Gift for my dad! Lapsang Souchong tea from Harney and Sons because the tin was pretty and it's his favourite tea. Described as such on the side: "Pine smoke and bacon with some dark stone fruit notes" which is my way of saying I don't know if he's pranking me or not by saying this is his favourite.

3: Pemmican, Akira vol 4, and a schleich horse! Heck yeah! Living the dream!

4: The above pictured toys (the two on the left) from the Momiji Explore blind boxes (the two on the right are Dimoos) from the toyshop Rotofugi.

I set up a spreadsheet to monitor my reading/encourage my reading and for June I have spent exactly one half hour reading go team high fives all around. I have a feeling I have to log off and stop reading twitter obsessively to read a book but that might be a fib.

I have been rereading the Murderbot diaries, about one chapter, or part of a chapter a night, then switching to the Comfortable Courtesan for a chapter - the chapters there are v short! And then maybe a bit of the latest reread of some of raisedbymoogles and gemmainkyboots's Prowl/Jazz fics for the warm fuzzies. <3

How is Murderbot? I have most of them, just need to open it

Well, I am rereading them, so I like them very much!
First person POV, a genderless cyborg person who is very snarky, smart and just really wants to be left alone to watch their media shows... ;D The stories are complex enough to be engaging, but not baffling - all but the latest novel are p short. There is violence but not glorified and not described too vividly. Murderbot hates leaking! XD The main set of humans are good! I love Ratthi in particular! They are v diverse, though this is not dwelt on, and they're not physically described in minute detail. Various marriage and partnering configurations, again not dwelt on because Murderbot thinks sex is revolting. Ace/Aro, possibly could be considered neurodivergent? I mean they're mostly bot with some organic bits, so....?

I read two chapters of... Proper English by KJ Charles! (I'd already had it opened on my phone) I'm trying to get into romances because I'm into them in Theory but it's time to start the Practice, if you get my meaning.

But Murderbot is still on the docket!
