Why do tasks I enjoy sometimes feel coated in teflon?

I need to read this paper for class, it's something I'm interested in, and I keep bouncing off it. Poing. Poing.

I'm only on page 3!

The same thing has been happening with comics - I have so much in progress (including a Deadman collection where he might sell Satan to aliens?) but I can't seem to sit down and turn the pages.

Also be careful what you click on in horrified fascination on comixology, it can't tell what you actually buy and the morbid fascination clicks apart for its recommendations so I keep seeing heinous comics each time I open up the front page. I don't know what a waifu is and I don't want one.

I already ate my brownies so I can't bribe myself with brownies to finish this paper. I am my own worst (brownie-filled) enemy.

Maybe... an episode of Midsomer? Can I have little a murder as a treat?

Sometimes it helps to change your physical location. I used to read most papers on the subway or in the library because I couldn't get any reading done at home.

god, I wish! Right now it's 2 am with *checks* surprisingly balmy -11 weather. It is tempting to just pack up and huddle in five layers of clothes at the McD's behind my house though.

But that's good advice. I think the next bit of reading is gonna take place at a coffee shop since surely I can't still be sick when the next assignment comes out.

(I have spent a good chunk of the last hour improving the quality of my Twitter by blocking certain dudes arguing against a costume going "but she not hot she no tits" and it has made me more cynical than usual.)
