I'm reading Ye Olden X-Menne Comics like grandma used to make, and I'm on the storyline where Alpha Flight has come to reclaim Wolverine for the Canadian government (Wolverine's all 'I resigned!') and it's been three issues but I just now realized that James Hudson really is called Major-Maple Leaf and that's not just Wolverine being super mean.

While I was googling to confirm spelling, I discovered that there was also Major MAPLELEAF, no dash, another Canadian hero (two of them, actually) without the dash, also at Marvel.

Thank you, Marvel, for giving us all these diverse manners of spelling maple leaf for our Canadian heroes.

Also at one point Cyclops says 'I spotted a big concrete tower! We can meet up there!'

Readers, that was the CN Tower. THAT WAS NOT THE CN TOWER. It was actually a place in Calgary. Someone (thanks to Ann for the link) took photos of the actual locations in the comic and photoshopped the panels into them!

I am sorry for doubting Claremont and Byrne.
