crantz: Comic drawing of a woman thinking 'I hate him-- I hate him-- I hate him--!' at the back of a man. (i hate him!)
I've been a real bear these past few days which is either that the entire world sucks and I'm tormented by those around me, or my PMS is just lasting thrice as long as usual. I don't really like either option, you know? But the acne and cramps do seem to be on the side of the hormones and not the Gods throwing stones at me.

I do hope I've been agreeable to those around me, though, because generally it's no one's fault that I want to stand on a rooftop and holler.

School started today, Archaeological Methods and Theory was going quite nicely until the videos about Nimrud being blown up started and I was like 'oh yes. Oh god. That happened and it was only 2015'

I feel like last decade took forty years. It's so weird thinking of things and going 'oh, that was only ten years ago. At MOST' when it feels like it must have happened in an entirely different century. A thing I can say, as a Millennial. I straddle time's divide!

And I guess every other generation before me that's still alive...

Speaking of things that were ACTUALLY a long time ago, I've been watching Gargoyles. What a delightful show. I can absolutely see why it wasn't actually all that popular over all (it was beloved for a damn good reason though) because it was my first experience with 'if you don't see every episode, you are totally lost' in a time before that was remotely possible. When they started releasing tv series on dvd, whoa. Sure, it was only 6 years after the airdate of Gargoyles, but 6 six years is a long time when you're a kid!

WHOA.

Next class up is Pottery Analysis where I'm gonna examine/sort actual real ass pottery artifacts for the government. Every year the professors remind us that Lara Croft, Sydney Fox, and Indiana Jones may have misled us a little about how exciting being an archaeologist is, but you always hope that there'll be a whip fight anyway.

I drew a tiger lily from reference today to try out watercolour markers. It was fun. We'll see if I can draw MORE flowers or if this project will fall by the wayside like so many others. You may follow me by my path of abandoned arts and crafts.
