My cup runneth empty

Well, it's 20 years later, I no longer own like most of them, and can't afford to rebuy based solely on nostalgia.
I'm wondering what a dude has to do to get a box of BSC books and the free time to read them in.
They're such a popular yuletide fandom, I can write it off as 'fandom taxes' which is a thing I do emotionally to justify purchases. "But my friends are into this!"
Main motivation: I want to know why everyone hates Mallory so much. I liked Mallory!
