Finished We Have Always Lived In The Castle by Shirley Jackson. I liked it, but this is the only commentary I really have: I never, ever, want to live in a town written by Shirley Jackson.
I needed something light-hearted like whoa, and a friend (forgot who) had been talking about how Otto Chriek was her favourite Discworld character which made me realize I'd plain forgotten how The Truth by Terry Pratchett went, besides there being a newspaper.
So I'm reading that now.
It's fun! I like William De Worde and the ensemble cast for this book. It was also a really good reading day, because when I went to Starbucks they were giving out free breakfast sandwiches and wraps to advertise for them starting to offer food there soon. So I had a breakfast wrap. And that was nice. And hot chocolate. Which on a nice chilly fall day is perfect for reading books.
I'd even managed to get in the comfy chair, which combined with my snuggly woollen sweater meant I was the most comfortable person in the world.
My ipod playlist needs updating for reading, though. My favourite stuff to listen to for reading is musical soundtracks, and my favourites are Coraline, Brendan and the Secret of Kells (Bruno Coulais, how I wish you had more stuff for me to buy), and How To Train Your Dragon. But I've listened to them about a thousand times.
Does anyone have any lyricless soundtrack suggestions? All I know is I'm not huge on Danny Elfman.
