Christmas Adam has passed, rise of Christmas Eve

Salut.

I did NOT achieve my goal of reading 30 books this year and it doesn't look like it's gonna happen in the next week. But the important thing is that I had aspirations to reach a tiny fraction of what I was capable of in my youth, like being able to do midair somersaults without killing myself. I could do that once too.

Yuletide is about to reveal and I'm pretty jazzed about that. I've just put in my nominations for Candyhearts Exchange. And I've got the files uploaded for a fic I've been meaning to do about dwarven artifact catalogues from a default I did ages ago.

I need to wrap my mom's Christmas present. It's been a weird holiday season with all the chemo and stuff but I hope it goes well. We're having Chinese food instead of the traditional cultural feast and on actual Christmas day we're having food from her favourite Indian restaurant.

The cats, as a side note, have been *extremely* cute this year.

My partner's family's tradition is Chinese food before midnight mass, and unless my partner's uncle Father Bob is doing midnight mass (he is several states away) the mass is optional.
