I watched Guardians of the Galaxy 3, or parts of it. First I tried to find the chapters or time stamps for the horrible parts online so I could avoid them precisely. But then I was reminded it is 2025 and search engines can no longer assist us in these matters. In this particular case because I couldn't find words relevant to my search that wouldn't also suggest I was here about a game instead of the movie. Big sigh.
So I just did a generous jump whenever plot or atmosphere suggested it was about to get cruel, and that worked too, but I probably missed 1/3 of the film.
Anyway, to my surprise I liked it and I was pretty teary at the end. I couldn't say that for the first two, because the whole "in your face jerks are endearing really" pretense of the franchise was so stupid and also factually wrong. But the characters grew out of it just enough in the third one, or had developed enough character each to overshadow the tiresome premise. Something like that. Eyebrow guy as Adam Warlock really caught me off-guard. He looked like he stands very still in the precinct for a living. I always liked Nebula best, hasn't changed.
I also rewatched Everything Everywhere All at Once, this time in a state of awake, and that helped a lot. Very good.
I started watching But I'm a Cheerlearder online and it's pretty weird? But it has a brief appearances of Dante Basco!
