Consuming

Right now I'm reading/watching/listening to:

The Magnus Archives - as of tonight I just finished episode 69 (nice) in a big binge. I started today on episode 63! I share a house with people who, right at the scariest moments, sure love stomping across the ceiling above my head and now I have 20% more grey hair. I like how the general theme of the show is 'learn about a career, write a horror story about career'.

The Batman (2004) - Lately when I have a bat-craving, I've gone to this cartoon. It makes some odd choices, although my favourite by far is having the Penguin be Batman's physical superior.

Titans (Netflix) - this is so gritty it's like eating sand as I watch each episode. Robin castrates someone. They use naughty words. I keep watching more.

Umbrella Academy (Netflix) - the music in this show makes me very happy and I like the characters and it turns out I pretty much guessed how it was going to play out in episode one which makes it very relaxing viewing in an odd way. I do not have a favourite sibling yet. I have mixed feelings on Hazel and Cha Cha.

Teen Titans (2003) - I started watching this around Titans and the tone is somewhat different. I find Sunfire to be absolutely delightful.

The New Teen Titans (Marv Wolfman) - Bought a few volumes of this a while back during a comixology sale and just started reading. Raven's backstory is *dark* and I'm not sure what empathic powers is supposed to mean since it apparently contains flight, your soul flying out of your body as a raven, and Sorting Hat. That said I'm really enjoying it and I wish someone would hug Cyborg.

Archer's Goon (Diana Wynne Jones) - Right now the Goon is peeling potatoes so small they're like marbles. It is delightful.

What I SHOULD be reading:

I have a lot of Squirrel Girl, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, Wasp, and Mr. and Mrs. X to catch up on.

At some point I'm gonna have to man up and read the rest of Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye but I don't want it to be over.
